Think Before you Click

Think Before you click

Social networking sites are very common and very useful tool now in our generation. They serve as our references in doing our researches and some other stuffs. They also serve as a tool in connecting to other people, especially if you have a relative far from you. They also serve as our “Online Newspaper” because they also report important stuffs across the world. But aside from those important uses what are the other consequences of using them

One of the main problem is the “Cyberbullying” many Filipinos experience Cyberbullying. What is the main causes why hey experience it? First you accidently post a status, or a photo that they didn’t like. Some of the cyber bullies are so harsh because some of them posts some scandals and gossips about the person they are bullying. Always remember THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK. If you experienced being cyberbullied, always inform your parents, guardians and you teacher about it. Don’t keep it by yourself only. They will also guide you on the things you should do. TAKE NOTE! You must have a proof that they bullied you so that it will be easier for you to report them. Because of cyberbullying some teenagers commit suicide. On the other hand some really can’t take the posts of the cyberbullies do. Always remember don’t be afraid of them, you should show them that you are strong enough to face them. Lastly, IGNORE them, don’t waste your time and your energy in scanning their posts and their tweets.

Some of the Filipino’s posts their revealing pictures in Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter or even Instagram. It’s a big NO! NO! Before you post them make sure you are not wearing revealing photos, because nowadays some people might use those photos against you and they might play and spread your photos without your permission. But if really want to post them make sure you customize the publicity of your photo. ALWAYS REMEMBER THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK!

Some of the Students simply “Copy-and-paste” their assignment. They should not do that! Why? Because it a crime that you get someone’s work. It was like stealing the article they worked hard. I’m not saying that you should not get references in social media but make sure you include the name of your reference as a respect for that person. Always take note! THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK.

These are some things you should do upon opening social media sites. We must be careful in using them and we should always remember that in everything we write, post we make a change in showing the world what we feel. We must be aware of what we post because we might hurt someone’s feelings. Avoid putting bad words in your posts to maintain the innocence of what we post. And we should always keep in our minds THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK.
